Stand facing the Qiblah
Face the direction of the Kaʿbah in Makkah. Stand upright with feet slightly apart.

- 1. Stand facing the Qiblah
- 2. Make intention (niyyah) in the heart
- 3. Takbir — 'Allahu Akbar'
- 4. Opening supplication (optional)
- 5. Recite Surah Al-Fatiha
- 6. Recite a short surah
- 7. Ruku — bowing
- 8. Stand after ruku
- 9. Sujood — prostration
- 10. Sit between the two prostrations
- 11. Second prostration
- 12. Continue to the next rakʿah
- 13. Tashahhud (after every 2 rakʿahs)
- 14. Salawat on the Prophet ﷺ
- 15. Final duʿāʾ
- 16. Salam to end the prayer
